Inspired by the gin palaces depicted in Charles Dickens’ ‘Sketches by Boz’ where the liquor on offer includes “Cream of the Valley” and “Celebrated Butter Gin”, Portobello Road Celebrated Butter Gin is made by re-distilling Portobello Road Gin with 10 blocks of English butter in 30 litre batches. The effect is a slightly creamier mouth-feel and a subtle increase in saltiness and sweet.
